56 Days away... wednesday

Wednesday September 8th! Today is a beautiful sunshiny day in Edina!
Took advantage of sleeping in untill 10:30 today which fealt amazing :) Had the BEST workout ever at Bally Total Fitness, sometimes it just feels great to sweat for 2 hours!  Now I have the whole day ahead of me to run around the twin cities and have a fabulous day.
I'm working on memorizing the phonetic alphabet today, should have it down by the end of the week, found a great future soldier websight to learn as much as possible before I leave for basic!  Man, it feels good to learn :)
I'm really feeling like I should go spend the day at IKEA! I'll probably go by myself, kinda sad, but there's something about that place that is just intriguing.
No taekwondo tonight :( going to Jonna's house for bible study instead :)
OK, gotta go do something with my hair now

Tuesday!

Nothing too special today, windy, sprinkly day in Edina.
Went for a nice run this morning down to the park and around, and then ran some errands.
Last night I started cooking again, I forgot how much fun it can be to cook at home.  Tonight when I get home I'm going to make lobster raviolli for me and mom :)
57 days till I leave for BT!
Yeah... not much going on with this girl today other than getting my butt kicked at taekwondo class tonight!  I'm gonna be sore tomorrow :-/

Labor Day Weekend!

SO!
I had the most fantastic weekend! I'm sure you did you :)
Saturday started off with Taekwondo classes and then a road trip to Superior with my old friend Erin Rink, now Erin Berenguer.  Went to the Josh Turner concert on Saturday night with my friend Michael for his birthday, saw some great friends afterwards and then headed home in the morning/afternoon back to the cities.  Sunday was a very unproductive day for me, very lazy, sometimes I just need to nap and watch movies all day :)
Life can not be busy enough for me when I'm doing things that I love, today has been tons of fun with my Mama!
Monday (labor day) Got up and went to St. Paul to meet up with Joni and Jonna (aunt and cousin) for coffee and to catch up on life in the past YEAR! wow, I don't see those gals enough but I will be seeing them a little bit more in the next couple months, YAY!  Jonna invited me to bible study on wednesday nights, it will be a great opportunity to learn and meet some new gals, OH life is fantastic :)
Have you ever been to Lake Calhoun?  A walk around the perimeter is just over 3 miles and it's the best place to go when you have a day off and live just 15 minutes away, I did that with mom this afternoon and hope to do it again a couple more times this week.  Tons of cute dogs everywhere! LOL
Finally, tonight my mom and I are going to see the movie Eat Pray Love with Julia Roberts, she is my fav actress, I'm going to get a tub of popcorn and a big soda, very indulgent but I love movie popcorn.
Yeah I know, lots of randoms but I've just got so many thoughts running through my mind!
Hope you all had an amazing labor day weekend!

Well all I have on the agenda today is a mani pedi, and then shopping with a friend :) OH! life is hard... well it will be soon enough right?
I shold start a count down for how many days till basic... lets see 60 days away! Nov. 3rd
Hope I find a good book and some cute shoes tonight! OH BTW loving the taste of fall today, yumm, i can almost taste it in the air

so i decided that i didnt know what i was doing with my life anymore
so i decided to join the army!

i feel like ive decided to do a lot of new things and now i just have to do them, im committed so there's no backing out now!
im excited anyways so its not like i want to back out
i thought my career as a baker/pastry chef was going to go far and i was gonna do great things with that and it ended up just leaving me with a bunch of burns on my arms and some really strange experiences, overall, it was a learning experience just like i can say about anything that happens to me in life.
for the next two months i am living in the cities with my mother, not working, not really knowing what i want to do...
im going to do something new everyday and work on my physical fitness and getting in shape before basic training
took a nice stroll around lake calhoun today and picked up a few things at the whole foods market, cleaned the ENTIRE kitchen, and going to have some good coffee at caribou!
we'll see what tomorrow brings, gotta find a good gym!
